After his laptop died the day before he was scheduled to teach a coding bootcamp, he had to change the focus of his curriculum from computers to smartphones, which are more widely available in Africa. Sua Code, “a smartphone-based online coding course that aims to teach millions across the African continent how to code,” is the result of a prototype he produced.
